The best event I worked on was the IDEX 2009 Opening Ceremony (International Defence Exhibition) in Abu Dhabi. It was the juggernaut of all events which involved closing down a main highway for 3 months to build a mobility track for defence vehicles to the 100m LED screen that moved back and forward to reveal the mobility tracks and stunt performers. Full support was provided by the UAE Military to use their tanks, jets and helicopters for fly overs also with 250 school children for the cultural performance. I was invited to sit in the royal box with the royal family for the event which was incredible. Even if I was just an observer, it was a truly amazing 6 months of my life for an event that lasted only 42 minutes!
