Staging Connections wins 2014 SafeWork Award
Luke Sullivan, Principal Advisor Health Safety and Environment (HSE) at Staging Connections has taken home the trophy, winning 'Best individual contribution to workplace health and safety’ at the NSW Government 2014 SafeWork Awards, 30 October 2014.
Luke has been instrumental in rolling out numerous campaigns across Staging Connections’ national workforce with a focus on the safety of employees, both on site and on the road. The overarching program of safety at Staging Connections is Stagesafe, the first risk management system designed specifically for the events industry. In addition to a robust system, key to Stagesafe is a mobile app, allowing workers on site to access the system any time and any place.
Stagesafe’s success is a testament to the commitment of the team in maintaining the highest safety standards, and the development of the app further demonstrated the team’s drive and innovation.
As Tony Chamberlain, Managing Director, Staging Connections commented, “We are all immensely proud of Luke, who has been the driving force behind Stagesafe, the implementation of the app and all our safety measures and initiatives. The entire Staging Connections team got on board with this initiative and the marked improvements in our safety culture and results are an illustration of their dedication and hard work.
“At Staging Connections, safety is our number one priority and as a business we are always looking for new ways that we can improve and strengthen. We are dedicated to ensuring our workforce has all the tools and support necessary to implement safe work practices as they create unforgettable event experiences for our clients,” said Mr Chamberlain.
As further commitment to the safety and security of the events industry, Staging Connections has made the Stagesafe app available to the rest of the industry.
