Staging Connections Collaborates with Hilton Brisbane to Create State of the Art Ballroom

We are delighted to announce the completion of a major upgrade of the Hilton Brisbane Grand Ballroom’s audio visual systems.

Highlighting the successful partnership our Director of Venues, Terry Oomens was thrilled to announce the revamp of the premier event venue, cementing the Grand Ballroom as a leading event space in Brisbane.

“Staging Connections is proud to work with our valued partner, Hilton Brisbane, in raising the bar for venues in South East Queensland. By delivering industry leading event services and state of the art audio visual services, the Grand Ballroom is certainly one of the most technically advanced venues in Australia,” Said Mr Oomens.

At the heart of the upgrade is the transition to a cutting edge digital fibre infrastructure, which now offers a superior level of brightness and clarity of images via ultra-sharp projection. The brand new audio visual infrastructure complements the recently installed full high definition Christie projectors and 16:9 motorised screens. In addition, the Grand Ballroom’s lighting system has been centralised, with the installation of a world class touch screen control pad to manage the recently added 48 state of the art computerised ceiling fixtures and digital audio consoles.

The upgrades will reduce the environmental footprint and the complexity of the technology within the event space; with Staging Connections implementing event solutions that are efficient and deliver an enhanced client experience.

Hilton Brisbane General Manager Ronald van Weezel said he is delighted to see the hotel push their meeting and event offering further to better provide clients with unforgettable events.

The Grand Ballroom is located on level 5 of the Elizabeth Street hotel, and offers one of the largest event spaces in the Brisbane CBD accommodating up 600 guests for banquets and 1100 guests for cocktail events.
