Hilton Worldwide expands in Perth

Hilton Worldwide (NYSE: HLT) announced at an on-site ground breaking ceremony last Tuesday 7 July, a third DoubleTree by Hilton property to open in Perth. The 205-room DoubleTree by Hilton Perth – Northbridge is due for completion in early 2017 and will be the first DoubleTree by Hilton to open in Western Australia.

The team from Staging Connections Perth was on hand to assist, transforming the building site into a ceremony venue. Using drape, truss and lighting, the building was transformed into a welcoming space with a separate space for post event canapés and mocktails. Large high definition monitors provided looping images of the architects renders and helped to create a visual reference for the exciting things to come.

Idris Achmad, State Manager  for Staging Connections in WA said,

“The DoubleTree brand is all about being warm and welcoming. The world famous DoubleTree warm choc-chip cookie on check-in is one of the corner stones of their brand.

Transforming a dusty, dirty building site into a space that reflects the DoubleTree brand with a reveal to the morning tea area was a really successful exciting challenge for the team.

Utilising our Perth Skyline Event Backdrop really showcased Perth City during morning tea."

Positioned immediately north of the Perth CBD, Northbridge is home to Perth’s entertainment district. The hotel will feature 205 rooms including four suites, a restaurant and bar, 400m² of event space, business centre, gym and outdoor pool.

Paul Hutton, Vice President – operations Hilton Worldwide Australasia, said of Hilton Worldwide’s expanding presence in Perth, “There is no doubt that Perth has seen a recent transformation. At the heart of this, Northbridge is a vibrant suburb where arts, culture and entertainment come together. We are extremely excited to be announcing our third Perth DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Northbridge set right amongst Perth’s most happening precinct.”
