A seamless transition for Stamford Plaza Brisbane upgrade
It’s been 2 months since the changing of the guards at Stamford Plaza Brisbane with Staging Connections serving as the newly appointed in-house event services provider.
The February 1 change saw Stamford Plaza Brisbane undergo a significant upgrade to all their meeting and conference spaces with state-of-the-art technology, audio and vision systems installed.
All meeting rooms are now equipped with 16:9 screens, upgraded projectors, and in-room support systems. New 65 inch LCD television screens with inbuilt Skype capabilities were installed in the Stanley Room as well as the PAV public bar, giving guests crystal clear resolution. Stamford’s elegant ballroom now boasts three 4m screens with high-powered projectors making it a superb choice for your next corporate or private event.
The newly installed audio system has in-built functionality which allows clients to control the background music using the Sonos app in the River Room and pre-function area of the ballroom. This means for areas and events where an AV tech isn’t required, they can create atmosphere by selecting background music. This capability wasn’t previously available in the Stamford Plaza Brisbane and provides a great solution for weddings and private events.
Despite the intricacies and logistical challenges that come with any provider transition, the process and installations was expertly managed by Staging Connections experienced project Manager and local venue services team.
According to the Conference and Events Sales Manager, Darren Besgrove, the hotel suffered no disruptions to the business and any existing commitments and client events were supported.

From their project manager to the audio visual tech team, nothing has been too much trouble. Looking forward to a huge year ahead with Staging Connections by our side,” said Mr Besgrove.
Staging Connections hit the ground running, with the venue hosting a large industry event for Brisbane Marketing and their VIP members on their first day in office. Therefore, it was very important for both Staging Connections and Stamford Plaza Brisbane the event ran smoothly.
Since then, Staging Connections has delivered over 70 events at Stamford Brisbane including the Alzheimer’s Australia (Qld) annual ‘A Night of Stars’ gala dinner and the Catholic Mission Brisbane High Tea event in celebration of International Women’s Day. The level of service provided by Staging Connections’ team has made a positive impact on the smooth transition and events delivered.
