1200 Kms for Kids Charity Bike Ride

Staging Connections is proud to support Humpty Dumpty Foundation and Children’s Health Foundation on the 1200km for kids Charity Bike Ride.

In October 2013 a team of non professional cyclists including Staging Connections Managing Director, Tony Chamberlain and Regional General Manager, Karsten Richert, will undertake the eight day 1200km journey.

The 1200kms for kids charity bike ride was conceived back in 2005 by Gary Richardson and Trevelyan Bale. The two friends were looking for a way to give back to the hospitals that had effortlessly helped their sick children. Over the past six years the 1200kms for kids charity bike ride has raised an amazing $500,000 for two hospitals.

This year, up to 30 riders and their support crew will volunteer their time and legs to raise a whopping $200,000 for research at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Brisbane and to help the Humpty Dumpty Foundation provide much needed medical equipment to hospitals Australia wide. The gruelling journey will start in Brisbane and will be stopping at Warwick, Glen Innes, Armidale, Tamworth, Muswellbrook, Newcastle and finally finishing at Humpty Dumpty, Sydney.

Tony Chamberlain, Managing Director, said “I am honoured by the opportunity to participate in this year's 1200kms for kids bike ride. It's a pleasure to support Humpty Dumpty's excellent work.”
